Set #2:  Additionally, here is a link to a google folder with candids and students with their teachers upon receiving their certificate.

Please be sure to look through both sets!

4J Family Report Explanation:

EasyCBM Scores

Percentiles: When looking at EasyCBM percentiles, students are currently performing at grade-level on that measure, if they are above the 40th%ile. Percentile scores between the 25th%ile and 40th%ile mean that your child is approaching grade-level on that measure. And percentile scores below the 25th%ile mean that your student is considered high risk and is performing significantly below grade-level.

Reading Risk: Reading risk levels are calculated by combining all 3 reading assessments. Low risk means that they are overall performing at grade-level, some risk means they are approaching grade-level expectations, and high risk means they are significantly below grade-level.

OSAS Scores (3rd-5th grade)

The OSAS scoring window just closed so any scores that are complete are simply preliminary. Once scoring for all assessments are complete, they need to go through validation procedures over the summer before they are reported to families. You will be notified via ParentSquare in the fall when those scores can be accessed.

If you have further questions about these reports, we are happy to help you understand them in the fall.

New Playground Coming Soon!:

We're excited to share that McCornack's back playground is getting an upgrade! Construction is expected to begin as early as June 15. During the project, the back playground will be fenced off and unavailable for use.

We look forward to the improvements this new playground will bring. In the meantime, families are welcome to continue using the front playground on Brittany Street.

ParentSquare:

The district will be fully transitioning to ParentSquare as the main form of communication.  Follow the directions below if you have not signed up for a ParentSquare account.

Please sign up for ParentSquare if you have yet to do so. IMPORTANT: If you prefer to get information via text message, be sure to click on the 3 lines at the top left of the app, select “account”, select “notifications, and enable text notifications.

We'd Love Your Input on a Family-Friendly Indoor Space: Valley Covenant Church is exploring ways to make our church a resource for local families. One idea is creating a welcoming indoor space where children can play and families can gather during rainy weather, wildfire smoke events, school breaks, and after-school hours.

We'd love your input! Many of our families already know the church through its volunteer support at school events and help providing food bags for families in need. Please take a few minutes to complete our survey and share your thoughts on this prospective space.
