Local SUMMER Camps/Activities

Farewell 5th Graders:  Thank you to the family and friends who have joined us these past few days to celebrate and send off our incredible 5th grader students to middle school! A special thanks to those who planned for and made our promotion a huge success! We hope you enjoy this slideshow of our 5th grade class.

Class Placements 25/26:  At McCornack we use a variety of data points (academic, social, behavior support, race/ethnicity, gender, etc.) to thoughtfully and intentionally draft initial class placements for the coming school year.  These drafts are then given to current grade level teams for review and revision. Placements will be shared with incoming McCornack families via email (date TBA). We will host “Meet the Teacher” before school begins as well.

School Supplies for the 2025/2026 School Year: 

For the 25/26 School Year, we are asking familes for a $35.00 donation. This covers almost everything needed for students for the YEAR :-) Please visit the link to donate online Supply Donation Link

We are also seeking donations of the following items:

• Large bottles of hand sanitizer

• Kleenex

• Wet wipes

• Ticonderoga pencils

• Reams of white printer paper

• Non-perishable snack food

Kindergarten Smart Start: 

Sept. 3–12, 2025
 All Students Attend: Sept. 3 & Sept. 8-10
 Only Last Name A–L: Attend Thursday, Sept. 4
 Only Last Name M–Z: Attend Friday, Sept. 5
 No Kindergarten Sept. 11 & 12 (parent/teacher conversations)
 Regular school schedule begins on Monday, Sept. 15

Kindergarten Registration for the 25/26 School Year:  Will your child be 5 years old by September 1st? We are accepting registrations!!  Come by McCornack’s office to pick up a registration packet or visit 4j.lane.edu/kindergarten  

PTO Nominating Committee Needed:

We're looking for a small group of parent volunteers to form a Nominating Committee! This committee will play a vital role in shaping our PTO's leadership for the 2025-2026 school year by recruiting and recommending a slate of dedicated parents to serve on the PTO Board. A vote on the recommended slate will be held via Google Form in early September. If you're interested in serving on this important committee, or if you're considering a role as a PTO Board member yourself, please email Dana Brummett (brummett_d@4j.lane.edu) to learn more.

Lost and Found: We have an abundance of lost items located near the front office.  All unclaimed lost items will be donated on June 16th.  We’d love for all the lost things to find their homes.

Monetary Donations to McCornack: Families and community members are welcome to make a donation to McCornack’s school fund.
