On Thursday, November 16th, 6:00-7:30, McCornack Elementary is hosting a night of literacy, storytelling, music, fun reading activities in classrooms, and information for parents on how to support reading at home. There will be pizza and veggies for dinner, and the Book Fair will be open until 8:00 for you to purchase books for your family.

2017 Scholastic Book Fair!
Everyone’s invited to our annual Book Fair which begins Monday, November 13th and runs through Friday, November 17th. The fair is open 8:00am-3:00pm each day as well as during the Title Family Night on Thursday (6:00pm-8:00pm). Every book you buy enables us to purchase books for our library for all students to enjoy so we appreciate your support. Meet Our All For Books Mascot, Sarsaparilla Joe!
Sassy was made by one of our great volunteers, Katie Strand, for our Book Fair! All For Books is a change collection program that helps our Book Fair earn a little extra that goes to our students to buy books for them through the library. Sarsaparilla Joe will be in the office until the end of the fair so bring in your loose change and help out our school!

McCornack PTO Jog-a-thon Friday, September 29th
Jog-a-thon September 29th: All families are invited to cheer their students on during our annual PTO Jog–a–thon. Money raised for this event goes directly back to our school to help fund field trips, buy library books and other much needed classroom materials. To make this event run smoothly, we need as many volunteers as possible.

Kinder: 8:15-8:45 am
Grade 1: 8:45-9:15 am
Grade 2: 9:15-9:45 am
Grade 3: 9:45-10:15 am
Grade 4: 10:15-10:45 am
Grade 5: 10:45 am -11:15 am
We look forward to having families join us for this event.
Academy Day: Friday, September 30th
Students will be released at 11:30am so that staff can attend Academy Day, a learning day for educators to collaborate on curriculum plans in order to ensure all students achieve success.
- Find out which class you’re in!
- Meet your new teacher out on the back playground.
- Say “hi” to classmates.
- Enjoy ice cold watermelon!
- Office will be open for any questions that you have.
- Community agencies will be on site.
- Meet our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).
- McCornack T-Shirts will be available to purchase at $10.00 per shirt.

First day of school is Wednesday, September 7th, 2016. Doors open at 7:45am.
