Dear McCornack Families,
We are at the half-way point of the school year. This is a time when we pause to consider how each student is doing in school, where they are excelling and where they need more assistance. Report cards will come home in February. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions about your student’s progress. We want to partner with you to make this the best year for your student academically.
Our 5th grade Leadership Team is working on our Human Dignity Assembly for February 14. They are looking for ways that we practice dignity, kindness and respect in our school. Please ask your student what acts of dignity do they see at McCornack? We are all responsible to make McCornack a better place filled with dignity for each other.
Stay well this winter!

The Holiday Season is upon us. This is a time for community, love, compassion and giving. For some of our families, this time of year can be very stressful. Some may be experiencing unemployment, illness, financial difficulties or other hardships. This year, for the third year, McCornack is partnering with Eugene Kiwanis Foundation to organize: McCornack Has Heart: Warm Hearts, Warm Homes 2017 Holiday Drive. McCornack will confidentially coordinate the efforts of caring families to help relieve high heating costs of some of our McCornack families. All funds raised will go toward EWEB Heating Assistance for our families in need of help. It is a fundraising drive in which our McCornack families and others donate funds to help relieve high heating costs of our McCornack families who need holiday help. Funds raised will go toward EWEB Heating Assistance for our families and toward gas cards.
McCornack Has Heart is anonymous for all families who give and who receive. Ms. Brinda, our School Counselor will confidentially coordinate giving and receiving families on a first come first serve basis.
If you would like to give, or you are in need of assistance this holiday, please complete your part of the form and return it to Ms. Brinda by Wednesday November 29, 2017 at 2:30 PM, 2017. For the form, [CLICK HERE].
McCornack will distribute funds directly to the EWEB address accounts of families in need by Tuesday December 12, 2017; we will also inform families of the amount donated by letter. Giving families who provide what they can to help, will receive a tax-deductible receipt from Eugene Kiwanis Foundation. Please contact Ms. Brinda with questions at 541-790-5800 or email her at: Narayanfirstname.lastname@example.org
